Success Story Jaksche
During the development of a new camper roof, Jaksche pursued a clear objective: reduce weight, shorten production times, and lower costs. To meet these requirements, Jaksche chose ALWA MOULD D for the production of vacuum thermoforming tools.
Large-format camper roofs place high demands on tools and processes. Conventional GFK vacuum moulds are often associated with long cycle times and require additional post-curing, which slows down series production and limits economic efficiency. At the same time, demand for higher production volumes continues to increase while maintaining consistently high surface quality.
The Solution: Thermoforming Tools Made from ALWA MOULD D
By using ALWA MOULD D, Jaksche was able to produce vacuum moulds that are ready for use immediately without post-curing. The patented casting resin system enables rapid in-house tool manufacturing and stands out due to its excellent thermal and mechanical properties.
Compared to GFK tools, MOULD D vacuum moulds allow shorter production cycles and are ideally suited for higher production volumes, a decisive advantage for the series production of camper roofs.
Advantages of MOULD D Compared to GFK Vacuum Moulds
-
Higher output rates in thermoforming
-
Significantly shorter cycle times
-
No post-curing required – tools are ready for immediate use
-
Reduced tooling and production costs
-
Lower mould weight for easier handling
By using ALWA MOULD D, Jaksche successfully implemented a lightweight, high-quality camper roof in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The combination of reduced weight, fast production processes, and excellent surface quality makes this solution particularly attractive for modern applications in the vehicle and caravan industry.
